Manas Yoga Seva Trust

Cow Based Natural Farming

Manas Yog Seva Trust has a significant focus on cow-based natural farming. Since the year 20.., the trust has been engaged in natural farming and related research and development activities. Currently, the trust practices natural farming on a total of 1.. acres of land, cultivating vegetables, grains, spices, oil seeds, fodder, and horticultural crops according to the seasons.

Approach to Natural Farming

The trust believes that reviving our ancient traditional agricultural practices is essential for enriching agriculture. Today, most farmers are using chemicals, leading to barren land and reduced productivity. Our objective is to encourage farmers not to use urea, DAP, and pesticides and to understand their traditional natural farming methods.

Production of Natural Fertilizers and Pesticides

the trust produces natural fertilizers and pesticides from cow dung, cow urine, buttermilk, ash, and various plants. Additionally, the trust conducts testing and documentation of these inputs in the fields.

Certification of Fertilizers

We strive for scientific certification of all natural fertilizers developed by Manas Yog Seva Trust. For this purpose, we collaborate with Kutch University and the Agricultural Science Center in Kukma for laboratory and field trials.Training Camps
Since 2011, Manas Yog Seva Trust has been organizing three-day training camps on indigenous cow-based natural farming. Many successful camps have been conducted so far, where experiences of successful farmers are shared.

Earth Son Scheme

Under this scheme, we encourage farmers from neighbouring villages to adopt natural farming practices and provide them with technical assistance.

Agricultural Product Value Addition Center

A value addition centre for agricultural products has been established on the trust’s premises where natural farming products are processed for added value.

Marketing of Agricultural Products

The agricultural products of the trust are used for the private consumption of the trustees’ families. Excess production is sold through indigenous malls and shops. Goshala (Cow Shelter)
The model of natural farming we are working on is based on indigenous cow breeds. The trust’s goshala is home to Gokul breed cattle.

Collective Efforts

We are experimenting with various types of farming practices such as mixed cropping, seed preservation, and planting medicinal trees. Farming is an integral part of nature’s creation and system. If farmers understand this system of nature, they can transform their fields into a ‘Nandan Van’ (a paradise). Today we need to center our agricultural practices around nature and real science.
